A few selected Students showcase
My gratitude to ALL my students (1,500 +) for their contributions. Thank you for the pleasure of being a partner in our creative growth and making a positive difference. I’d like to quote, Evan Spiegel, founder of Snapchat, whom I have had the privilege of being his first college design professor and mentoring him through a similar design process below: “Milka’s design strategy had a substantial impact on me. Her approach to design methods was transformational for me and that I would never forget the typography experiments which transformed my design thinking.”
Experimental Typography
• Through some risk-forward design methodologies, I inspired designers to tap into their potential.
• They let go of one’s inhibitions in order to cultivate new ways of seeing from a different lens and shifting perspectives. I encourage the learners to take risks and explore solutions they hadn’t planned for or are yet to discover.
• Concepts are deconstructed, reconstructed, hybridized, and multiplied to discover new design solutions and to be put into excellent and meaningful practices.
• The serendipity and happy accidents that came with this process allow ideas and design to simmer at a whole different level, one which probably wouldn't have been intended for if planned digitally or directly on the computer screen.
