Corporate Brand Identity Design & System

• Defined the design problem and discovered strategies for solving the problems effectively and memorably.
• Collaborated closely with the CEO to translate his creative and business vision into compelling design strategies.
• Created Snap Inc.’s brand identity design and its deliverables in less than 2 months, preparing for the company’s IPO-- worth $33 billion.
• The parent company, Snap Inc., (created for the subsidiaries Snapchat, Spectacles, Bitmoji, and more) would prompt business growth, attract and retain investors, and motivate the employees well into the future.

Snap Inc Brand Identity Design

Process

• Created a design brief describing the understanding of Snap Inc’s mission statement: “Snap Inc. is a camera company,” A detailed word wall of different concepts, feelings, intentions, and objectives related to the notion of “camera” was explored.
• The combination of the words and visuals established the foundation of the “Mood Board” strategy.
• Research, Concept Development, Brand Strategy, Design Direction & Development, Production, Revision, Distribution, and Deliverables.

 

Snap Inc Identity development

Concept

• To stand the test of time, hold the endurance of long existence, combined with strength, stability, and tradition.
• The typographical solution was inspired based on the typeface “Caslon” (designed nearly 300 years ago). Benjamin Franklin chose this typeface to set the original Declaration of Independence of America! So this long-established historical typeface represented what the new parent company, Snap Inc., stands for.

Project: Directed and managed company’s “Mission Mural” from design to implementation. It expresses the value of company’s mission across its rapid growth. Installed across 40 different Snap Inc’s global locations.

Augmented Reality Integrated experience

Designed innovative experiences to amplify and promote company’s core values.
Hybridized old and new technology by transforming 2D physical environments into a meaningful animated Augmented Reality 3D virtual experience.
Created an AR lens specific to this Mural campaign via Snapchat’s Augmented Reality.

SNAP INC. POLAROID BOOK

the Largest Hand-Crafted custom made Book & binding Edition in the world

Designed and produced hand-crafted and limited custom-made book editions to commemorate company’s Founders, Board of Directors, and Leaders/Executives in their contributions to the origin of Snap Inc.

20”x24” Polaroid photographs were taken, digitally printed {at 23”x 30” & 13”x 17”} and hand-crafted into beautiful custom-made Large blind embossed books.

Brand ID Process development

As part of the Spectacles Beta team (a novel innovative glassware product), I designed the initial phases of its brand ID exploration. Strategized its branding with the team for the mass audience. Later on, we hired “Sagmeister & Walsh” design agency to design the entire Brand campaign based on our discoveries.
